Family Fun!

We went to the Twin's game on Tuesday, and it was one of the best games I have ever watched! (Not that I watch a lot of them, but this one was good)
We pretend to get along when it's for a good cause... AKA Twins Game!

The view of the game!

All of us cheering for the Twins!

...From Indie Hipster to Pop Sensation...

I found some vintage Gaga(via @Perezhilton)

The video is inspiring in differeny ways. Miz Gaga may have started as a indie hipster in dive bars in New York, but she worked and fought to become the legend she is and deserves to be.

She proves that you may not start exactly where you want in your career, but if you work hard, you can get to where you want!

Just finished watching Hotel Rwanda... What an excellent movie. It's hard to believe something like that happened and is happening in other countries. It's so sad.

I feel like I need to get more involved now, learn more about what is happening in these other countries and become more educated on it.

I recommend everyone watch the movie!

Beautiful Picutres!

Interesting news!

I was reading an article from the LA times about Perez Hilton and one of the lines struck me as both interesting and funny. The line was describing the typical person who reads Perez and I feel like they hit it dead on..."Reader surveys show that the typical Perez Hilton reader is a 26-year-old college-educated white woman who seldom goes to church, is a Democrat and does not shop at Wal-Mart."

Everything but the age describes who I am to a T and I must say i am probably the number 1 person who follows perez. My friends would laugh because they know how much I am on Perez, I am told I am "addicted" I just believe he is genius in everything he does! Keep Hustlin' One day I will work for Perez!

Concert Recap

Last night I went to a concert that I would put at the top 5 best concerts of my life. It was the No Doubt concert with Paramore and Bedouin Soundclash.

I had been listening to Bedouin Soundclash for while, and I think they will have great success and this concert is the best thing for them. They come from Canada and their sound is so unique, it combines a modern urban sound with a classic reggae. I recommend everyone check them out.

Next was Paramore, and they really are an excellent band. They remind me of what I think No Doubt use to be when they were first starting out. Their music is so refreshing and its great to see a girl leading singer with an amazing sound.

Last but not least, No Doubt took the stage. I was skeptic because I had seen some performances on TV, and the sound was not always the best. But they surprised me and put on one heck of a show. Gwen sang perfect, the music was good, and it was entertaining. I forgot how many singles they have had and how good they really were. I love going to a show and knowing every song they have. My favorite part of the whole show was the encore, They sang their cover of "stand and deliver" but they brought out Paramore and Bedouin Soundclash. Its good to see a band that has gotten so big to actually bond with their opening acts and invite them on stage with them.

Now, check out a clip of No Doubt from last night...

Kris Allen "Heartless"

I thought this cover of Kanye West's "Heartless" was amazing. It was almost better than the original, so I thought I would share it with everyone.

Out with the bad.. in the the good!

Today was one of those days where it starts out good, and suddenly goes very wrong. I got up early today and went to school.. I was there at 8 am, I know crazy! After that I sat at home and studied all day for the two exams that were later in the day. Have you ever had that feeling where you start taking an exam and half way through you just want to rip it up and throw it away? What I thought was going to be an easy test turned into the test from hell.

After a test like that, there is nothing you can do to make yourself feel better. Knowing that you just guessed on 50% of the test is never a good feeling. Then it was time to take the second exam. I was not excited about taking it because I thought it was going to be pretty hard. But to my surprise, it went well. So after that we left class, feeling good, and decided to go sit outside and enjoy a happy hour somewhere. We ended up at Chipotle instead (Much Better honestly!)

After all that I am sitting here, packing to leave for Colorado. I am excited to go but then I find out the two days we will be there, it's suppose to snow. And for anyone who knows me, I hate snow! So Wish me luck!

Daily Advice:
Don't sweat the small stuff... aka failing an exam... there are more important things in life!

First nice day of Spring! I can't wait for Summer!!!

The first post!

This is my official post and I am pretty excited about it. The hardest part so far about starting the blog was naming the blog. I have been contemplating a name for a few weeks now. It finally came to me as Laura, Berit and I were sitting out on the front porch. Berit gets half credit for helping me name it!
